So! I took Brynn to the vet today, to test her for the progression of the heartworms.

THANKFULLY, she only tested lightly positive. This means that she still HAS heartworms, but the treatment has changed in a huge way! She will no longer need the Arsenic injections. The vet told me, along with three others, that she'll just need to be put on Heartgard, or any other preventative. That will kill the worms and flush them out. Yes, this is still risky business, but not near as bad as the alternative! So the major scoop is that I still have FOUR other dogs that need to be tested and possibly treated! Either way, I have four dogs to pay for with fees of Office Visit, Tests, and Preventatives! All this totaled is $85! So what's $85 x 4? $340. And let's face it. I don't have that. So, this is STILL a big threat to my dogs! Since one tested positive, there's a higher chance these others will as well. So to be safe, I want to get them all tested and get them started on preventatives! Here's the note I've sent out to people.

Thank you! And just to give you a personal update; I took Brynn to the vet today, to see how bad her heartworms had progressed. And to my amazement it was very lightly positive, barely making the test show she was positive! This is EXTREMELY great news; because she won't need the treatment now! They simply put her on HeartGard, and told me that should clear it up. Now I do know there are risks involved with this, and I did agree to let them do it. The risk is that the worms die and clog up her heart or artery. But they said since it hadn't progressed that much at all, that it wouldn't do that! So I'm very thankful for this. And it makes me so happy to know that I can save all that money. Don't worry though! You're money IS going to the dogs! Being that I have 4 more dogs who need to be tested, and my come back positive. This is where the money will be headed now! If you don't feel this is fair, let me know and I can send the money back. IT won't be a problem. The vet visit today was $85 alone. So taking 4 dogs to the vet, at the exact same price is about $340. I don't have that. So if you do feel like you still want to help, let me know. ^_- Thank you so much again!"

I would not dream of posting this is all I did was sit on my butt all day. I actually put 3 Applications in today! So yay for me! It's a great start! Once more, thank you ALL so much for your support! You got me through these past few days! And your words and prayers are helping so much!!!!!
