---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the deal...I went to pick Brynn up from the HSPCA today. She was getting spayed, and we had it done there, since the Shelter is right next to it, and I was going up there anyways today. Well. We get up there, it was my aunt and me and my sister. We go to pick Brynn up, and they are all nonchelant about this whole thing...

"Okay, you need to sign here. Her surgery went great. Now she's just waking from the meds, but she'll be fine in about an hour or so. But oh, your dog tested positive for heartworms." At that very moment, I lost it. I felt the tears building in my eyes, but I couldn't let them go. I shook them away and was soon consumed with anger. Bewildered that, of all the ill-concieved things I've heard of, NEVER have I heard of the HSPCA finding out a patients dog has heartworms, and then NOT EVEN CALL THEM!?! I asked too, and all that I was handed was a shrug.

So, needless to say, today was not what I expected. Not in the least. I'm not totally sure how far along these heartworms are, but whether they be 6 months or a year, I want them gone. The treatment however, is risky business...and is VERY expensive. The treatment alone, is roughly estimated to be around $700. Possibly more. The odds of her pulling through the treatment are very diverse. She's a young dog, but that could be a good and bad thing. But I refuse to get into that sort of thing right now. It's hard enough typing this now.

I know I've asked for help, many many times before. But this time...I'm begging you. Please. Help me out, this once if you don't ever again. Brynn is my little girl. She's my whole life. The reason I got into Border Collie's. The reason my fursona IS a Border Collie. My name sake. My whole heart. She's my reason for waking up and smiling every morning. Anyone who knows me, or my Border Collie's knows Brynn. To my family, she's just a dog. But to me, she's my entire life. So please, I'm begging you. Please help me pay for this treatment.

You all have no idea how grateful and indebted I will be to you all. If I can make my goal of $700, Brynn will be sent to the Vet immediately. And I have to resort to dA because no one in my family is willing to pay for this treatment. My dad wants nothing to do with it, and my aunt is sick of paying for dog bills.

So, Thank You. To all of you who offer kind words in my direction. Please keep Brynn in your prayers and thoughts. And even if you can't help, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could point people in my direction.

Sincerest Thanks,
Christy Nunn aka Brynn

You know I'll be here for you, and I'll spare whatever I can afford. Moving can be put off for a month or so for us border collie girlies for I can help pay for her treatment. <3 You know when the test happens, SGee and I will be there for you, and I'll make sure to exhaust every option with your vet for Brynn.

. Thank you so much Ashes. I know it's been a while since we last talked. As far as prices, I'm not sure. They are negotiatable. You can set a price, and we'll haggle. Call me sometime...and we'll talk in depth. As for my limitations, quad canines. >_- Lame I know...but eh...I guess I can experiment?

i know it might not help, but you could sell your artwork via ebay, and ask for payments to be made to your ( or a new) bank account. that way you might get some money quicker, pay for your dog's treatment faster. you have a very nice gallery and lots of really nice artwork wich would be fantastic to alot more people than people on da. try it out and you might get a bit of help cash wise from there.

That's a great idea. Only I don't have an ebay account. But it does sound like a feasible option...I'll ask around with family about their accounts...see if they can help. Thanks so much for the advice.
